The pretty seaside resort of Saint-Jean-de-Monts is just a few minutes from Saint-Hilaire-de-Riez, giving you the chance to discover this charming town. The two resorts are 15 kilometers apart, and if you’re keen, you can cycle through them on the many cycle paths.
In Saint Jean de Monts, there’s plenty to do. You can spend your afternoon on the warm sands of the main beach, or stroll down the long pedestrian street, Avenue de la Mer, which is packed with clothes stores, bars, chichis and ice cream vendors, etc. A real vacation atmosphere reigns in this town, which is bustling every day in high season. Between two stores, you can try out the Saint Jean de Monts Ferris wheel, from the top of its 40 meters, you’ll overlook the whole embankment as well as the large beach, a breathtaking view over the town.
